This year has been such a whirlwind! I feel like the year happened in a coupla months though coz so many things happened between about August and the present day. Obviously, known to everyone now is the preggers situation and the birth of my lil' man, Christian. What I can share that I know will be super usefu to alota people though, is the whole experience of being preggers; I must warn people though, I had it REALLY good!

Firstly, being preggers is NOT an excuse to eat; you have to stay as healthy if not be even healthier than you were before you got knocked up! I used to run, I ate normally which is pretty healthy, I'm very conscious about what I eat. If you eat the same way you ate before you were preggo, its more likely you'll probably lose weight once baby arrives! #nojokes! I'm smaller than I was before :) so eat well and exercise is my 1st tip, keep active coz it makes you feel stronger.

My 2nd tip is you can still look totally fabu, don't buy clothes that are just too big coz its just for the coupla months you preggo! My boyfriend went with me to buy my maternity wear so he was there to also give me input on what he thought I looked good in coz when you get super large, you don't feel to hot. There's a ton of stuff that can make you look like a happy expectany mummy!

Those are my top 2 tips for survival while you preggo! The last 2 months is when you really feel it so the rest of the time, just carry on as normally as possible!

It has been WAY too long since I've blogged! I've really missed it actually so ima get on my blog grind either later today or tomorrow. Right now I'm being a little antisocial. BUT what I will say, in the past year I've learnt a lot about different fashion ans styles for different body types from small girls to fuller figures to pregnant women! Everyone, and I mean everyone can look good no matter what.

Image issue

Ok my images are trippin but as a quick summary, i use a revlon blush, bronzer and colourstay roll out eyeliner. Use maybelline colossal waterproof mascara and MAc foundation. These items have worked WONDERS. And i also use revlon eye shadows but i know eye shadow is different for everyone!

Make up

There's always dudes out there tryna sing about, when you got no makeup on "thats when you the prettiest i hope that you don't take it wrong" -Drake. fine and dandy but that only works once he's already smitten. My advice when it comes to make up, don't be an el cheapo about it. Buy the product thats worth your money and actually does the job! Coz make up is tricky, once you put on the cheap stuff, one of many things can happen, #1 it can smudge
#2 it may fade
#3 it could like overdo your face
#4 it could clot your lashes
#5, there's no going back once you've messed up your face with cheap makeup!

I'm not saying buy the most expensive, but don't buy it cheap. I sacrifice my sheets for the make up i buy, i'm a Revlon girl at heart and at the end of the day, its worth it. You could mess up a dope outfit just coz your make up is ALL wrong.

SHOWCASE 2010: theladynya and friends

Those that are responding to the Fashion Showcase 2010 thank you!!!! I think it'Ll be a night to remember so i'm really excited about the whole thing.

The name of the event like i said, is gonna be SHOWCASE 2010: theladynya and friends. Get busy with your collections while i pull the ideas together. Since I want it to feature some of our really talented local artists (Tehn Diamond, Tagz, G.O.R.E, Kapital K, Dutch, Andrewat just to name a few) i didn't wana call it fashion showcase, we all need ta shine! Plus i think these guys have done their best work so far this year so lets end 2010 the way we gonna start 2011!!!

Fashion showcase Sec 2010

After not blogging for months and months (which a i actually feel really bad about), i had this random idea to have a fashion show at home in Zim in December. The idea is to showcase anyone with any kind of line; jewellery, clothes, shoes, bags ANYTHING so what we'll do is, to cut down on costs, you have a vision of what you believe your line will be about, for example, i know someone who wants to have a clothing line and the basic concept is really bright neon colours and the label is about tees and jeans so since we tryna make our way up, who has the cash to just up and create their own line? SO you get some of yo stuff, yo hommies stuff, whatever you think represents what your brand is and put enough pieces together for your collection... and voila!

Tryna have auditions for models is such an issue so we'll just get a bunch of girls together who YOU even think are dope and get them to wear your collections! At the end of it, you'll walk down the runway and take a bow as the creator of the collection all fashion show like! Ok but this is live so guys, we gotta help each other to make our way up so i'll see you all at the top :)
