SHOWCASE 2010: theladynya and friends

Those that are responding to the Fashion Showcase 2010 thank you!!!! I think it'Ll be a night to remember so i'm really excited about the whole thing.

The name of the event like i said, is gonna be SHOWCASE 2010: theladynya and friends. Get busy with your collections while i pull the ideas together. Since I want it to feature some of our really talented local artists (Tehn Diamond, Tagz, G.O.R.E, Kapital K, Dutch, Andrewat just to name a few) i didn't wana call it fashion showcase, we all need ta shine! Plus i think these guys have done their best work so far this year so lets end 2010 the way we gonna start 2011!!!

Fashion showcase Sec 2010

After not blogging for months and months (which a i actually feel really bad about), i had this random idea to have a fashion show at home in Zim in December. The idea is to showcase anyone with any kind of line; jewellery, clothes, shoes, bags ANYTHING so what we'll do is, to cut down on costs, you have a vision of what you believe your line will be about, for example, i know someone who wants to have a clothing line and the basic concept is really bright neon colours and the label is about tees and jeans so since we tryna make our way up, who has the cash to just up and create their own line? SO you get some of yo stuff, yo hommies stuff, whatever you think represents what your brand is and put enough pieces together for your collection... and voila!

Tryna have auditions for models is such an issue so we'll just get a bunch of girls together who YOU even think are dope and get them to wear your collections! At the end of it, you'll walk down the runway and take a bow as the creator of the collection all fashion show like! Ok but this is live so guys, we gotta help each other to make our way up so i'll see you all at the top :)

P.S Ima do my best to get my Showtime guys to perform, along with my zaki Tehn diamond :) it should be a very star studded evening, so if you into anything entertainment orientated, get on the bandwagon with me!

Christian Louboutin

My FAVORITE shoes in the world are Christian Louboutin's, i still have NO idea how a man can make a shoe for women thats this sexy! I guess it's like jimmy Choo and as the saying goes, a man always knows what looks good on a woman! Sometimes, females tend to wear what they LIKE and not necessarily what looks good on them or suits their bodies so my fashion tip for today, you'll always look your best, sexiest, hottest whatever when you wear something that goes with YOUR body! For the thicker ladies, wear something slimming, for the shorter ladies wear something that elongates your body and makes you look taller (such as killer heels). For the taller ladieswear something that shows off your legs so you look tall instead of long! Those are my tips for today!

With that, here are some of my favorite Christian Louboutin shoes, i spotted Alicia Keys rocking them in pics of the "Empire State of Mind video (btw, Christian Louboutins have the signature red soles so you can spot them ANYWHERE!

Gossip Girl Style

I feel like Gossip Girl is also becoming a kinda culture like the clothes, the lifestyle.. Gossip Girl has taken over alot of our lives (including mine)! what i love about the show (besides Chuck Bass lol) is their sense of style is SO original! So my fashion FYI for your own personal GG style is don't be afraid to experiment! i don't know about taking it as far as Lady Gaga i guess that's your perogative but don't be afraid to experiment and MOST IMPORTANT, guys and girls, the use of COLOR! Bright colors, red, yellows, greens, put together bright colors that fit! I know with the guys, color isn't exactly your most exciting prospect thats why i put in a coupla Chuck Bass pics coz he ROCKS colour, it looks modern but chiq. With that i found one perfect pic of Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Dan Hauphrey (Penn Badgley) and Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), they're rocking stuff thats not TOO extreme but still looks very sexy!

The most different character i think is Vanessa's! Unlike everyone else who seems to wear clothes that are reminiscent of the 50's with a modern day twist, her style is more bohemian, like 70's reminiscent so she needed a special spot too!!

Halloween pics 2009

Hey hey!

I'm SOOO SOOO stoked coz the new celeb halloween pics are finally out AND, you can finally compare some of last years outfits with some of this years! You already had Kim Kardashian's to compare with last years, i think she switched it up pretty well, as a stylist does, never disappoints.

I think Nick Cannon and Mariah stepped their game up! They're looking pretty hott in their angelic costumes, very sexy but still in costume.
High school musical star Monique, OWNED her Beyonce costume, i *love it*!!!
Hef's ex girl Holly Madison did the classical 1700s costume, i love anything reminiscent of renaissance so she totally rocked it.
Khloe Kardashian looks *hott* alongside her hubby Lamar Odam as they dresed as a casual looking Batman and a sexy catwoman :-)
Seal and Heidi do it big every year and why shouldn't they, ITS THEIR PARTY! I love the bird outfits, sooo original!

Those were my favorites, i hope they inspire everybody to dress up next year, its not that hard!

CLOTHES in the hip hop culture

Two prominent figures at the mo are Jay-Z and Alicia Keys especially with the killer track "Empire State of Mind" So i caught a couple of photos of them both on and off stage and i think they're the epitome of the hip hop culture.. Not to forget, their fashion sense is UNCANNY!

Along with that, i got some r n b artists and put them in the mix to compare and contrast the 2 cultures! I'm a bit bias but these are some of my favorite artists at the moment, i think what they're doing with music is SO great! For the rockers, we'll get to you ina coupla days..
